You will be lush trees and snow-capped peaks, with early summer wildflowers adding a beautiful, peaceful touch to the scene.

After a short rest, you'll head towards Gawalong, home to majestic snow mountains of Bome, located at the eastern edge of the Himalayas. Here, you’ll get a close-up view of the last snow-capped peak of the range, which remains covered in snow even during summer. Along the way from Bome to Gawalong, vibrant alpine rhododendrons bloom amidst snow-capped peaks and dense forests. The sharp, diamond-like peaks of the Himalayas appear so close, they feel within arm’s reach.

After visiting Gawalong, you'll make your way to the stunning Ranwu Lake. This long, narrow lake shimmers like emerald green and is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, offering picture-perfect scenery.

Day 4: Ranwu Lake to Lulang: Laigu Glacier Blue Ice Caves (B)

Today, you will explore the stunning Laigu Glacier, a treasure trove of blue ice wonders featuring six magnificent glaciers and dazzling blue ice caves. Depending on the season, the accessible caves vary. In May, the ice lake of Laigu Glacier begins to slowly melt.

Inside each ice cave, sunlight reflects dreamy shades of blue, evoking the feeling of traveling back to an ancient underwater world.

For farther ice caves, local off-road vehicles are available, and we will plan the best route based on seasonal accessibility. Exploration may take 2 to 6 hours, allowing ample time to fully immerse yourself in this icy paradise.

On the way to the glacier, you'll also pass meadows, alpine lakes, and majestic snow-capped mountains, offering breathtaking views.

Afterward, return via Ranwu Lake, where the afternoon light enhances its emerald-green beauty, framed by snow-capped peaks and lush meadows - a scene straight out of a painting.

Finally, you'll head back to your cozy homestay in TashiGang Village near Lulang Forest. While the journey may be long, the unforgettable scenery will leave lasting memories.

Your journey begins on the island in the center of the lake, followed by a motorboat ride to the secluded Fertility Cave on the opposite shore. From there, you'll begin an 8-kilometer trek (about 2.5 hours) along the lakeside through peaceful forests.

Sunlight filters through the trees, and vibrant rhododendrons bloom along the shore, while the lake reflects like a mirror. Prayer flags and tall trees add to the magic, making every step feel connected to nature. This serene hike offers a perfect escape, immersing you in the beauty of mountains and rivers.

Afterward, you’ll drive back to Lhasa, carrying with you the unforgettable memories of this serene journey.
